Ocular Disease Management

Ocular diseases should to be early detected for a better prognosis and requires routine management with our doctor.

Our doctor will co-manage with your family doctor and ophthalmologist to prevent vision loss and maintain overall health.

Some common eye diseases that we co-manage include:

  • Cataract - Most common condition in the patients over 65 years.  Patient experiences cloudy vision, difficulty at night with glare, reduced vision, and doubling in vision.

  • Macular Degeneration– Early detection at your eye exam and prompt treatment decreases the probability of vision loss. In the Early stage, there are no symptoms; therefore, routine eye exams are one of your best defences.

  • Glaucoma

  • Diabetes – Every patient with diabetes is recommended to have an annual comprehensive eye exam.  Often when diabetes is not well controlled, it affects the vessels in the eye which can lead to blindness.

  • Hypertensive Retinopathy

  • Keratoconus

  • Retina Disorders (Congential vs. Acquired)

  • Uveitis

  • Dry eye syndrome
